Jerusalem's chareidi sector is rallying behind UTJ's mayoral
candidate, Rabbi Meir Porush and the UTJ city council list,
which brings together Degel HaTorah and Agudas Yisroel under
the "Gimmel" voting symbol.
Dozens of False Conversions Performed in Riga

Based on a visit to Riga at the invitation of the Latvian
Jewish community, a delegation of rabbonim revealed alarming
findings regarding dozens of false conversions performed
there recently. The delegation included representatives from
the Conference of European Rabbis and Vaad Haolami LeInyonei
Giyur, founded by the late gavad of Antwerp, HaRav
Chaim Kreiswirth.
Plan to Renovate Beit Knesset Magen Avraham and Jewish
Cemetery in Beirut

A media storm broke out in Lebanon over rumors Hizbullah
planned to fund the renovation of the 83-year-old Magen
Avraham Synagogue in the center of Beirut where the Jewish
Quarter used to be. Speculations in various newspapers
focused on the identity of the figures behind the funding of
the project, which was described as "unique."
Hitler Led Kristallnacht

A German historian researching the diaries of Josef Goebbels,
the Nazi propaganda minister, has revealed that Hitler
himself led the Kristallnacht pogrom in Munich on November 9,
1938 as head of a Nazi group that razed Ohel Yaakov, the
central synagogue of Munich, capital of Bavaria.

Torah took part in the funeral for Rebbetzin Lifsha
Feinstein o"h, the widow of HaRav Yechiel Michel
Feinstein, on Sunday. She passed away at the age of 90.
