Israeli Artillery on Gaza: Action or Reaction?
Let us accept that 19 Palestinian civilians were killed by an
errant IDF shell in Beit Hanun last week — although the
Palestinian record for truth in reporting is abysmal and
there was no independent verification of the casualty
figures. The true number of deaths may have really been
anything from zero to 19.
Oleinu Leshabeiach: Volume Six
The final volume of the set of six by HaRav Yitzchok
Zilberstein, compiled and edited by R' Moshe Michoel Zoren,
has already been on the shelves for some time.
Like its predecessors, it contains hundreds of fascinating
facts and vignettes about Gedolei Yisroel, and at the end, a
comprehensive index of all the six volumes of the series,
which has been received most enthusiastically by the Torah-
true public.

ASK THE SHADCHAN
Rejection
By Rebitzen Nomi Travis
Question:
Dear Shadchante,
I wondered if you could bring up the topic of giving and
getting a NO /negative answer in shidduchim. I see
this as a thorny patch in the world of shidduchim,
both from the vantage point of a parent of eligibles and from
that of a non-professional shadchan.
