Campaign to Improve Bus Service on Chareidi Lines

Following an in-depth investigative report in Yated Ne'eman on the conduct of bus companies that run lines for the chareidi public, many public transportation users joined the campaign for decent transportation for chareidi passengers, who are shown a lack of basic respect by the bus companies.
Campaign to Encourage North American and British Doctors to Make Aliya

In response to predictions of a shortfall of doctors Israel has launched a campaign to encourage Jewish doctors from North America and Britain to come on aliya. A package of special grants and benefits worth $60,000, in addition to the standard aliya benefits, will be given to physicians on condition they are less than 40 years old and commit to work in Israel at least nine months a year. Hospitals and clinics that hire them will also receive financial assistance from the state.
Poland Threatening to Try Jewish-American Holocaust Historian

As soon as a few copies of Fear: Anti-Semitism in Poland after Auschwitz were sold, the General Prosecutor of Krakow announced he was opening a criminal investigation against the author, Jewish-American historian Jan Thomas Gross. Born in Poland, Gross has been accused of "slandering the Polish state."
Education Ministry Imposes New Questionnaires on Talmid Torah Principals in Bid to Curtail Pedagogical Independence

Talmud Torah principals around the country are furious over new Education Ministry demands that could limit their independence.
The Education Ministry recently sent principals of exempt institutions questionnaires and forms that have numerous demands, even more than recognized but unofficial institutions.
