Israelis Spend NIS 200 Million on Dried Fruit for Tu BeShevat

Israelis spend an estimated NIS 600 million ($140 million) per year on dried fruit according to a survey conducted by the Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce. During the period preceding Tu BeShevat there is a 300 percent increase in dried fruit consumption, which means 34 percent of all dried fruit sales take place during this period.
